With the rise of AI tools nowadays, many business owners and online marketers are opting to use these tools to create their SEO content in a fast and easy way. And the question that a lot of people have is, should I be using AI tools for my SEO? The short answer is yes, if you use it correctly.
I the past few years with the increase in popularity of AI Tools especially chat GPT, a lot of content creators have started to use them to create content for their blogs and pages. This is not a bad thing as long as they don’t use it to create generic content with a few prompts and just dump it into their site or blog.

Why can’t I just tell chatGPT to create all the content I need and copy it to my website?
Well… You can, but don’t expect that content to rank high in Google search results. Why you might ask? There are multiple reasons why that type of content doesn’t rank well on Google. First, your content is unlikely to be unique or new, as ChatGPT was trained on the data available online at the time it was trained. So is going to regurgitate the content maybe in a slightly different way depending on the prompts that you use. Also, guess what? you are not the only one using it to create content this means that other people using it to create content for the same topics as you will have similar content.
Does Google penalize AI content?
As of the date of this writing, there have not been any official confirmations that Google blocks AI-generated content, but it does prefer human-created content. Nathan Gotch from GotchSEO studied 487 Google search results using an AI content detector (Originality.ai) for the most competitive keywords and found that:
83% of Top Google Search Results Are Not Using AI-Generated Content. This means that Google favors the use of human-generated content over AI-created content.
Should I avoid using AI for my content creation?
No, AI Tools can be really useful in the creation of content when used wisely. As with any other tool, it has to be used in a way that is efficient and provides a real benefit for the user. The problem is when AI is used to create the whole content with just a few prompts and little to no input from the user. Large Language Models (LLMs) can be effectively used to brainstorm and create ideas, to create outlines for posts and topic suggestions, and they can even be used to create parts of the content needed, as long as this content is reviewed, corrected, and edited accordingly.
